Windsor Music Centre, along with a few other locations in Windsor, celebrated Make Music Day on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Make Music Day is a worldwide celebration of music and creativity.
To mark the occasion, businesses, restaurants, and public spaces throughout Windsor hosted live music performances — and we were excited to be part of the celebration! Patrons were invited to stop by during our regular business hours to enjoy the festivities! They were also invited to check out the other participating locations around town.

A holiday that was made for us!
We took time to celebrate our hardworking staff and diligent students. Those talented people work year-round to improve their musical skills as well as guide others along their journeys. And during regular business hours, some of those amazing musicians take the stage.
Gene Donaldson played!
Let's Talk About Gene...
Gene Donaldson has played the blues since he picked up the guitar at the age of 12 and has played thousands of shows since then. As a Windsor, CT resident since age 2, he lives across from his childhood home. He continues to teach at the Windsor Music Centre, the very music shop where he learned guitar decades prior.
Gene Donaldson has been an active part of the Windsor Music Centre since he was 13 years old. He took lessons, he worked the store floor and still teaches lessons with us. Instruments Gene teaches include guitar, bass guitar, and mandolin.
Debbie Morse played!
Let's Talk About Debbie...

Porcelain Rose DePino played!
Let's Talk About Porcelain...
Music has been a huge part of Porcelain's life since she was very young. She always dreamt of rocking the stage in her own band. She began her career in early elementary with chorus, clarinet in school band, church choir, and church bell and chime choirs. Her journey continued into high school adding new experiences like jazz band, pep band, UMASS Honors Band (Jr/Sr years of high school), UMASS Band Day, and learning bass clarinet. She was given the opportunity to compose and conduct her own composition as her farewell to her childhood years.
Nathan H. played!
Let's Talk About Nathan...
Avid 3-year-old who enjoys posing on the drums. Nathan not only plays the drums, but he often makes his own beats.
He is the youngest student at the Windsor Music Centre.
