Rental Agreement
I wish to rent the instrument checked below. I understand that I have the choice of returning the instrument at the end of the initial rental period, or renewing the rental on a month to month basis. Rental fees are payable in advance and are NOT refundable. I further understand that I have the option of applying payments, less LDT & Tax, to purchase price of the instrument. This agreement may be terminated by returning the instrument directly to the Windsor Music Centre and paying any outstanding charges. Past due accounts are subject to a late charge of $10.00 per month. Your school is NOT involved in this agreement and instruments returned there, without proper authorizations, remain the liability of the lessee in case of theft, fire, and damage.
HOW THE RENTAL PLAN WORKS:
The due date is the 1st of every month.
1. You may rent as long as you wish. The instrument may be returned at any time, outstanding charges charges paid, and the rental agreement with be terminated. Title of ownership remains with Windsor Music during the rental period.
2. Rental fees will be charged up to the date of the instrument being returned.
3. No rental or LDT fees will be prorated or refunded.
4. If instruments are returned they must be returned by the end of the month. After that rental fee will remain on the 1st of the month.
5. You will receive an invoice before the end of the initial rental period. To renew the rental, send your payment along with the invoice stub, by the due date. payment
Purchase Option
The rented instrument may be purchased at any time. All paid rental fees, excluding LDT and TAX, may be applied toward the purchase. If the instrument if purchased within 12 months, a 30% discount of the remaining balance will be given.
Exchange Option
The student instrument being rented may be exchanged at any time during the rental. Up to 12 months of paid rental fees will be applied to the price of the replacement instrument provided the account is current. This applies only to band instruments of student quality.
String Rentals

Windsor Music will exchange the instrument for the next size as requested by the music teacher. When the student requires a full size instrument, all paid rental fees will be applied toward the value of a full size instrument provided the account is current.
Past Due Accounts
If the rental fee is past due, a late charge of $10.00 will be assessed for every 5 days the account is in arrears. Windsor Music RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHARGE PAST DUE RENTAL FEES (INCLUDING LATE FEES) TO YOUR CREDIT CARD USING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED TO WINDSOR MUSIC. If the account becomes 90 days past due, the full value of the instrument shall become due, plus liability for all collection and legal costs incurred.
Loss/Damage/Theft Coverage
For this coverage charge, Windsor Music will assume liability of protecting the rental customer against loss, damage, or theft to the rented instrument under the following conditions:
1. Loss through theft, total destruction by fire or accident. The instrument will be replaced with an instrument of equal quality, age, and condition, as determined by Windsor Music. Theft must be reported to the proper law enforcement authorities with 24 hours after discovery of loss, and receipt presented to Windsor Music within 14 days. All charges incurred up to date of loss are still due and payable.
2. Any damage or breakage to the rented instrument will be repaired to proper playing condition, without charge, unless caused by mischievous conduct. Coverage does not apply to deterioration of appearance which does not affect the performance of the instrument, such as scratches, minor dents and finish.
3. Excluded from coverage are drumheads, drum sticks, strings, bow rehairing and replacement of expendable accessories (reeds, mouth pieces, oil, etc).
4. Any claims for repair or replacement shall not alter or diminish the terms of the rental plan indicated above.
5. If the rentee defaults on any payment more than 30 days, LDT coverage will lapse and can be reinstated only by permission of Windsor Music. No part of this coverage will be refunded.
6. All repairs and replacements of rented instruments, under this coverage, must be made by Windsor Music or its authorized designated agent.
Note: If LDT coverage is declined, customer IS responsible and liable, for all repairs, damage and loss by theft or fire of the rented instrument.
